ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Three grain cars derailed and grain was spilled on Burlington Northern Santa Fe property Tuesday, but no one was injured, police said.
Police were called at 4:09 p.m. to the derailment site in northeast Enid, but the derailment was on railroad property and was not disrupting traffic, police Sgt. Tim Jacobi said. Two of the three cars tipped over, spilling grain, and one remained upright, Jacobi said.
There was no collision involved in the derailment, Jacobi said. The cars simply jumped the track, he said.
A Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday night.
