Some of Oklahoma's best singers were in our studios this weekend to kick off The News on 6's new reality show "Gimme The Mike".

News on 6 LeAnne Taylor helped us get to know the 25 contestants. Starting July 19th, they will compete for prizes and a spot in the live finale. The contestants tell us they're excited about the show.

Deborah Walker, Gimme The Mike contestant: "It's going to be a great local kind of American Idol type show. It's going to be exciting and you'll get to see local talent, so actually people from eastern Oklahoma."
