(Norman-AP) -- Residents of a nursing home in Norman must move out in 90 days to make room for a new long-term acute care facility.
Officials say the ManorCare facility in Norman will close September 15th so renovations can begin.
When renovations are completed next year, the nursing home will become the first acute-care facility in the Norman area. Officials say the 50-bed facility will serve patients who require an average 25 days of care.
But families of the 110 ManorCare residents say they're disappointed the nursing home is closing, and are concerned that there are only a few nursing homes in Norman.
ManorCare has offered to help the families find new homes.
