OSU Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are investigating a possible drowning at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater.

The News on 6 was told a man and his wife launched a boat from the southern shore early Tuesday. The boat's engine apparently malfunctioned and the man tried to swim to shore to get help. The man went under.

He was not wearing a life jacket.

The search was called off late Tuesday. The victim's name has not been released.
