The city of Tulsa's tornado sirens sound by mistake Tuesday morning.
The News on 6 received dozens of calls from viewers wondering why the sirens were going off just before 10 AM Tuesday.
We talked with the Tulsa Emergency Management office. They say they were trying to do a silent test, which they do four days a week. Instead, a computer glitch inadvertently sounded the sirens.
Mike McCool with the Tulsa Emergency Management office: "There was an electronic problem between two of the switches of the automated encoder and we're fixing that so it doesn't happen again."
The only "live" tests of the Tulsa tornado sirens are Wednesdays at noon.
