Residents and business owners in one Tulsa neighborhood want the area to turn into a major Tulsa destination.
People living and working along the Admiral business corridor want to fix up the area. They want vacant businesses filled and bustling with activity. In a meeting Monday night, they learned how the city can help.
They would like to see Admiral booming like Cherry Street, which has an array of shops and restaurants. Business owner Louise Shewmaker: "There's a lot of empty vacant buildings up and down and they can be fixed up. Little shops, just about everything you want if you want it bad enough."
The business and neighborhood group meets the second Monday of every month. They plan to keep working to make their vision a reality.
