Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune hosted a Flag Day commemoration ceremony downtown Monday.

During the Flag Day observance, Mayor LaFortune recognized neighborhoods, organizations and businesses that are participating in projects to keep the city prepared for natural or manmade disasters.

Mayor LaFortune also honored American soldiers currently fighting overseas.
