(Honobia-AP) -- A Paris, Texas, man is dead after he was thrown from his four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Marty Joe Young was driving a Suzuki 250 just east of Honobia in southeastern Oklahoma at about 9 Saturday night.

The vehicle pulled into a turnout off a county road but turned too sharply. It rolled onto its left side and threw Young about four feet from the vehicle.

Young was not wearing a seat belt, and a highway patrol trooper smelled alcohol on him.

The highway patrol says unsafe speed caused the accident.

Young died at the scene of head and neck injuries. He was taken to Talihina Funeral Home in Talihina.
