One little lion cub is fighting to stay on all fours. The cub is part of the GW Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood.
Angel is the cub’s name. She was rescued from a farm in Kansas. Her parents were seriously malnourished and abused, that's why Angel was born in such bad shape. She was born premature with a severe calcium deficiency. She's missing part of her hip bones, so volunteers build a wheelchair of sorts to help the cub get around.
Shawn Brown with the GW Animal Park: "she doesn't know she has a deficiency, she's doing the best she can, she's struggling through her life and it represents the struggles everyone goes through.â€
The volunteers don't have enough money to get the lion cub the surgeries she needs. Altogether, they will cost about $50,000.
If you'd like to help out, or want more information call the GW Exotic Animal Park at 405-665-5197.
