(Oklahoma City-AP) -- 411 people have filed for office during the three-day filing period that ended Wednesday evening.

Wednesday's filings included several congressional candidates, including state Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher.

Fisher filed as a Democrat for a US Senate seat, despite facing embezzlement charges and an investigation by a state House of Representatives committee into whether he should be impeached.

Fisher says he's done a good job and predicts he'll be vindicated on all charges.

Others filing Wednesday are Muldrow attorney Monte Johnson as a Democrat and Jay Richard Hunt of Oklahoma City as a Republican.

Fisher and Johnson will face Congressman Brad Carson in a Democratic primary. Other Republicans running for the seat are former Congressman Tom Coburn, former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys and Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony.
