(Lawton-AP) -- A championship ring Oklahoma cornerback Antonio Perkins received when the Sooners won the national championship in 2001 has been stolen.

According to a police report, the ring was stolen Wednesday when Perkins' mother's home was burglarized.

The ring and a 2002 Big 12 championship watch were taken from the home along with some cigarettes and women's jewelry.

Perkins received the ring after the Sooners won the Orange Bowl at the end of the 2000-01 season.

Perkins was redshirted and did not play during the season.

The ring, which has ``(number) .1'' in gold surrounded by diamonds, is the only one of its kind.

It also has Perkins' name on one side and his jersey number, 28, on the other side.

Perkins graduated from Lawton High School, but has been staying in Norman for off-season training.
