(Farris-AP) -- A Lane man was killed in a single vehicle accident in Atoka County.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers say Carl Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Thompson was injured when the pick-up truck he was riding in ran off Oklahoma 3 and hit a tree at about 7:32 yesterday evening.

The driver and another passenger were also injured.

Trooper reported the smell of alcohol at the scene.
