(Guymon-AP) -- The city of Guymon is asking residents to participate in a voluntary water conservation program.
City officials say projected demand for water in the area could exceed the capacity of the water system. So, residents are being asked to water only on odd or even days depending on if their house number is odd or even.
Over the last few years, city has drilled two new wells, reworked existing wells to improve production, and has had the water system evaluated for greater efficiency.
