The Oklahoma State Department of Health has just confirmed the state's first case of West Nile in a bird. The bird was a crow found dead last week in McIntosh County.
No human cases of the disease have been reported. The Oklahoma Department of Health says the finding is significant because it's shown up much earlier than in previous seasons.
During the past two years, the first positive birds did not show up until mid-July.
