Half a million Oklahomans have no medical insurance. Many of them are women who just don't go to the doctor for fear of the cost.
Stacey Madlock was one of those. Her husband owns his own business but they can't afford medical insurance. She needed help and found it at the Faith Women's clinic in Glenpool. It's not a free clinic but it is reasonably priced. It is operated by Patti Wheaton a nurse practitioner.
Stacey Madlock: "It helps you to feel good to know you have a place you can go to with anything."
You can get most services here you can get from a doctor including medications. The clinic is open Wednesdays and Fridays as well as Tuesday evenings.
The phone number is 918-291-0004.
