One person is dead following a traffic accident on US Highway 75 north of Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says around 3 AM Thursday, a motorcycle driver was northbound on 75 when he tried to exit at 56th Street North.

Troopers say he was going too fast, and laid the motorcycle sideways. After sliding, he hit his head on a curb, killing him.

The victim was not wearing a helmet. His name has not been released.
