Today crews have continued the search for a 43 year-old father who reportedly drowned while trying to save his child. Authorities say a family was swimming in the Salt Creek area near Manford when a 7 year-old boy drifted away from the boat and became distressed. The 43 year-old man and a 19 year-old dove into the water to bring the child to safety. The 19 year-old came out of the water but the father reportedly went under and never resurfaced. Lake Patrol officials say they will resume the search first thing in the morning. So far they have not released any names.
