Enid junior high students try to give teacher, students laxative

(Enid-AP) -- Five 13- and 14-year-old boys were arrested Wednesday for trying to put a chocolate-flavored laxative into a teacher's drink.

Enid Police Sergeant Tim Jacobi says the boys at Waller Junior High also tried to give Ex-Lax to other students.

They were booked into the Enid Community Intervention Center this afternoon and face felony charges of mingling poison.

Waller Principal Mike King says the teacher immediately told him of the incident. King says he can't comment on when the students will be able to return to school.

A district spokeswoman wouldn't talk about the incident.
