As the violence escalates in Iraq, so does the tension for military families on the home front.

Les and Jan Dunn's 18-year-old son Josh is fresh from basic training. The Broken Arrow teen is now headed to a war-zone. The Dunn's say they've seen their son as just a teenager. Now he's a soldier with a sense of respect and duty.

Father of a soldier, Les Dunn: "going from the lackadaisical and non-caring to a whole new level of maturity." Pfc. Josh Dunn: "I joined the Army and they changed me for the better."

Right now, the Dunn's are enjoying time with their son. They’re saying a few extra prayers for him and all of the other soldiers.

Josh Dunn ships out Thursday. His first stop is Germany, and then he'll most likely join his unit in Iraq.
