A hit and run accident that sent a woman to the hospital early Wednesday morning has sent a Jenks man to the Tulsa County jail.

Shortly after 2 AM, a woman told police a man she met at a bar followed her as she left. When she stopped at Madison and Independence he hit her from behind.

It knocked her into a bridge railing and the suspect took off.

She was taken to the hospital, her injuries aren't serious. Alert witnesses helped police catch the suspect. The News on 6 was the only TV station there as he was arrested. Tulsa Police Sgt Dave Roberts: â€œOne of the witnesses got a tag on the vehicle and when we ran the tag it checked to an address here in Jenks. The Jenks Police Department came out to the address and found the truck along with the driver and he was placed under arrest.â€

The suspect is identified as Ryan Wilson. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
