Students at public colleges and universities in Oklahoma received nearly $700-million in financial aid during the last school year.
That's up 15% from the year before. Figures show more than 124,000 Oklahoma students received financial aid last year. That's up nearly 6.5% from the year before. Most of the aid comes from loans and grants.
The increased cost of education means the average Oklahoma college graduate will have more than $15,000 in student loans.
