The parents of many area soldiers long for the day American soldiers can come home.
The News on 6 spent some time Monday night with military mothers who are waiting on the home front. Each mom has a deployed son or daughter.
The moms meet in a Tulsa American Legion Post to catch up on the latest news, and to console each other. Each one has a different level of anxiety.
Take Betty Dobson's son, Joey. He's returning home, after being injured in a roadside bomb in Iraq. “He had damage to his arm and shrapnel wounds and a concussion and some damage to his ear. But none of that was life threatening."
Joey Dobson returns home April 18th. He says the first thing he wants to do is grill hamburgers and spend some quiet time with his family.
