Tar Creek area residents say they're feeling like guinea pigs. This after the tens of millions of dollars in studies they've endured. And it's not over.
Harvard researchers are expected to receive $5-million in the next few weeks to study children in the Superfund site. The National Institutes of Health grant would help scientists look into lead poisoning in young children.
Harvard officials say they'll also look at the effects of manganese and cadmium poisoning. Some residents say the government already knows lead is a hazard and the money should be spent to move people to safety.
