(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says he won't refile charges against a former WorldCom executive until after his federal trial, which is to begin in November.

Edmondson agreed not to charge Bernie Ebbers after meeting with US Attorney David Kelley of New York.

Edmondson says he and Kelly will share information to the extent that the sharing is allowed by state and federal laws. He says an Oklahoma prosecutor will attend Ebbers' federal trial.

Edmondson filed 15 fraud counts against Ebbers, five other former WorldCom officials and the bankrupt company last August.

The charges against Ebbers were dropped in an agreement with federal prosecutors, but Edmondson had planned to refile them.

The charges against WorldCom, which now operates as MCI, were dropped in exchange for MCI bringing 1,600 new jobs to the state during the next ten years.
