(Wright City-AP) -- A southeast Oklahoma police officer has come out of a medically induced coma in a Texas hospital.

Wright City officer Casey Hall was placed in a coma last Thursday after being hit in the head during a fight with a suspect. The coma was induced when Hall's brain began swelling.

McCurtain County prosecutors have since charged Raymond Davis junior with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
