(Oklahoma City-AP) -- It took about a half hour to take a man being sought in a Blanchard shooting into custody.
Stanley Ray Kelly was arrested on complaints of rape, attempt to elude police and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Officers say he led them on a 34-minute chase.
Kelly was also wanted by Grady County authorities in the shooting of Ronald David Nichols.
Investigators allege Kelly shot Nichols in the head with a .22-caliber pistol. Nichols' condition wasn't immediately available.
Oklahoma City police Sergeant Issac Goodman says officers spotted Kelly driving by in a silver pickup. Police tried to stop him, but he sped away.
Goodman says Kelly drove east on Interstate 240 and tried to go south on Interstate 35 when he lost control and hit a concrete barrier.
