Tulsa is about to pick up a couple hundred jobs and some State Farm workers were in town this weekend to size up their future home.
In February, State Farm announced it was closing its Monroe, Louisiana office of more than a thousand people. 250 of them may move to Tulsa. Saturday was an opportunity for the company to help make their transition smoother.
John Wiscaver with State Farm: " I think they're even more excited since they've been able to come here themselves and see what a great community we have from our cultural opportunities to the schools. Just all the great things that are happening in Tulsa, so we've had a lot of great feedback from our associates."
The Monroe office is expected to close by the end of summer 2005.
