(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Red Flag Fire Alert was issued for 76 of Oklahoma's 77 counties Tuesday by the state Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

The 77th county, Cimarron, is under a burning ban.

State officials say high winds and dry vegetation creates an extreme fire hazard.

Residents should avoid outdoor burning when winds exceed 20 miles per hour or the relative humidity is below 20%.
