Oklahoma gave up three runs in the first inning and couldn't score with the tying run at the plate in the ninth inning as the Sooners lost to T-C-U yesterday 6-to-3.
The Sooners had runners on first and second with one out, but Robbie Findlay struck out Jon Shackleford and Russell Raley to get out of the jam and earn his third save.
Charles Benoit started for the Sooners and gave up three earned runs without retiring a batter. He took the loss to fall to oh-and-1.
Eugene Espinelli pitched two innings of scoreless relief to get the win.
Raley had an R-B-I double and scored on an Ole Sheldon single in the third to bring Oklahoma within 3-to-2.
But T-C-U scored three runs in the bottom of the third to regain control. J-J Estrada drove in three runs for the Horned Frogs.
