Oklahoma makes its first appearance in the National Invitational Tournament in ten years when it takes on Louisiana State tonight at the Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners' last appearance in the N-I-T was in 1994 -- the last year Billy Tubbs was coach.
With the N-I-T bid, the Sooners have the longest active postseason tournament streak. The Sooners have played in either the N-C-A-A tournament or the N-I-T each of the past 23 years.
Indiana had the longest streak with 26 consecutive postseason appearances, but that streak was broken this year.
Oklahoma will also be looking for its seventh straight 20-win season. The Sooners enter tonight's game with a 19-and-10 record.
