Oklahoma State players frowned and groaned when they were slotted as a Number two seed in the N-C-A-A Tournament

Guard John Lucas says the seeding will serve as motivation for the Cowboys. He says the only way to get the respect the team thinks it deserves is to keep winning.

The Cowboys felt slighted after winning the Big 12 regular-season and tournament titles and winning 17 of their last 18 games. Four of the six teams that had been ranked above them lost in the days before Selection Sunday.

But the selection committee says the Big 12 title game had no effect on the brackets because it is played too close before the selection show.

Big 12 Commissioner Kevin Weiberg says the conference will consider rescheduling its championship game.
