US Senator Jim Inhofe to visit troops overseas

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Senator Jim Inhofe is leaving Friday to visit Oklahoma National Guard and Reserve members who are overseas.

Inhofe plans to visit with troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Inhofe says part of the trip is part of his effort to help develop a defense budget for next year. He's a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Inhofe is also asking anyone with family stationed in one of the three countries to call his office in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.
