New figures show Citgo Petroleum Corporation's fourth-quarter earnings doubled over the same quarter a year ago.

Citgo says it earned $87-million in the three months that ended December 31st. That's well above the $42-million it earned during the same quarter in 2002.

Citgo credits increased refining business and a high demand for gasoline for the increase.
