(Washington-AP) -- Attorneys for Terry Nichols say they were not given 13 FBI documents that raise the possibility of other accomplices in the Oklahoma City bombing.
The documents are cited in a recent series of Associated Press stories. They include two teletypes from then FBI Director Louis Freeh mentioning possible connections between bomber Timothy McVeigh and a gang of white supremacist bank robbers.
Nichols' attorneys say there are 13 documents they have no knowledge of receiving.
Prosecutors are required to give the defense all materials that could help clear a defendant. This includes evidence of other suspects or casting doubt on prosecution witnesses.
Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane says he's given or made available to Nichols' lawyers everything that was provided by the federal government.
F-B-I officials declined comment.
The judge in Nichols murder trial has said he'll dismiss the 161 state murder charges if Nichols' attorneys can prove documents that would help the defense were withheld.
