(Oklahoma City-AP) -- More than 800 mental health patients and advocates came to the state Capitol Tuesday to ask lawmakers for more money for mental health services.

Jimmie Davis of New Beginnings Network in Tulsa says an extra $15-million is needed for mental health services. He says many people with mental health problems aren't getting the help they need.

Shirlene Harrell of Kingfisher says it took four months for her to get a drug and alcohol treatment plan. And she says she went through three Department of Human Services workers before her bipolar disorder was recognized.
