(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City police have identified the victim of an overnight stabbing as an Oklahoma City man.

The body of Jerome Ronald Sylvester was found about 7:30 Sunday night by police responding to reports of a fight in southwest Oklahoma City.

Investigators later arrested James Thornton of Newalla on a first-degree murder complaint. Thornton is being held in the Oklahoma County Jail.

Police say the two had some type of confrontation, but are still looking for a motive to the stabbing.
