Austin - Texas has swept the Big 12 Conference swimming and diving championships. The men won their eighth straight title, and the women won their sixth Saturday night.

The Longhorns men won every Big 12 title. Texas A&M took second, and Missouri was third among the three men's teams competing. A&M was also second in the women's meet, and Kansas took third.

Two women qualified for the NCAA championships. Texas A&M's Rebecca Sturdy setting the Big 12 meet record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of one hour, 56 minutes, 20 seconds. Texas' Elizabeth Wycliffe had a time of one hour, 56 minutes, 36 seconds.

Texas' Sarah Wanezek won with a first-place time of 49.03 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State don't have swim teams.
