(McAlester, Oklahoma-AP) -- A federal report says a private plane may have run out of fuel before crashing near McAlester, Oklahoma -- killing a Texas family of five.
But the National Transportation Safety Board says the investigation into the November 27th, 2002, crash is not complete.
The crash killed William Gray, his wife Kathy, their sons Chad and Chase and daughter Brooks.
The family was flying from their home in a Dallas suburb to Missouri for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The N-T-S-B report says no fuel was found in a plane fuel line.
A witness told investigators he saw the plane a few feet above ground about halfway down the runway of McAlester Regional Airport, but it was going too fast to land.
He says the plane appeared to try to go around for another approach, but rolled to the left and disappeared behind a tree line.
