The Tulsa Zoo is helping keep one species of antelope from becoming extinct. They've partnered with the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation to repopulate the critically endangered mountain Bongo species.

The Tulsa Zoo is one of 12 zoos sending a Bongo antelope to a wildlife preserve in Kenya. Officials hope the bongos will live and breed and in three to five generations, will be accustomed to the wild and ready to be set free.
