(Okmulgee-AP) -- Quick action by two law officers made an Okmulgee County jail inmate's taste of freedom brief.
Lance Edward Harris and three other prisoners were being escorted back to the jail when he managed to slip away from Captain Shimika Johnson and out a side door last week.
Johnson discovered Harris had fled down an alley near downtown and Officer Shawn Longan ran down the alley to search.
Johnson said a carpet business employee told Longan that a man fitting Harris' description had run into the business' warehouse.
Law officers found Harris hiding the men's restroom.
Harris is scheduled to return to court Tuesday for an initial bond hearing on an attempting to escape complaint.
