(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma quarterback Jason White is recovering from minor surgery to his right knee and will be able to participate in spring practices.

Coach Bob Stoops says the surgery, performed Tuesday, was ``a cleaning out'' procedure.

OU's Athletic Training director of rehabilitation, Jim Hillis, says the surgery isn't uncommon among people who've had reconstructive knee surgery.

Stoops says White is also wearing casts on his right hand and left foot. He didn't have surgery on his hand or foot.

His hand was sprained in the Big 12 Championship. A broken bone under his big toe was injured during the Sugar Bowl.

Hillis says the foot cast will probably stay on for four weeks and the hand cast for at least one more week.
