Tulsa Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot by a security guard at an eastside apartment complex.

Authorities say Donald Cowan shot Ron Henderson outside the Windsong Apartments near 31st and Mingo.

Cowan works for Owl Nite Security. He told police Henderson tried to run him over, so he fired in self defense. Henderson died at the scene.

His vehicle was found facing the wrong direction on a one-way street in front of the complex. A juvenile in the vehicle was not hurt.
