There's good news for Oklahoma suburbs. The Oklahoma Tax commission says ten of the top-12 cities, when it comes to sales tax growth, are suburbs in either Tulsa or Oklahoma City.

Bixby was fourth on the list. Sales tax collections there grew nearly 9% in 2003. Glenpool and Broken Arrow also ranked in the top ten. Glenpool saw a 7% increase. Broken Arrow 5.5%.

While the areas around Tulsa did well, the city itself did not. Tulsa's tax revenue decreased by 3.2% in 2003.
