Multiple accidents involving a fire truck and other cars injured four and shut down a major Tulsa road Saturday.
Broken Arrow Police say the Tulsa Fire Department was responding to an accident at 71st and Garnett, when it, too was involved in an accident. Fire officials say a pickup truck did not stop for the fire truck.
Tulsa Fire Chief JD Mcanulty: "A pickup truck swung into the right turn only lane and accelerated on through the intersection and our fire truck hit that truck, spun him around and he hit three other cars."
Authorities say at least one driver was injured in the accident with the fire truck. Four people were injured in the original accident, which involved an SUV and a car, and trapped one driver.
Both accidents blocked traffic on Garnett in both directions.
