The Secret Service, along with Tulsa Police, have made a huge counterfeit money bust in Tulsa.
It started Tuesday night when police stopped a woman in Choteau and discovered two countefeit $100's in her purse. She then led them to an apartment at 4836 South Mingo in Tulsa.
Tulsa Police Sgt Toni Cellino: "Inside the apartment we recovered $17,000 in counterfeit currency, a color printer and a small amount of methamphetimine."
The woman, Jennifer Deeters and 31-year-old Lethan Bias were arrested. Both face counterfeit charges. Bias also faces drug charges.
Police say the serial numbers on the bills in this bust don't match those on counterfeit bills passed several weeks ago in Tulsa. But they do say the counterfeiting itself has some similarities.
