Some people in the Tar Creek Superfund site want Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe to resign.

They also want him to apologize for comments he made to the Joplin Globe. Inhofe reportedly told the paper he didn't arrange for area residents to meet with the EPA's Administrator during a surprise visit last month, because some residents would "embarrass" him.

Inhofe has responded. He says he was referring to politicians not residents.
