BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) _ Bill Cosby, Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks are the ``favorite all-time entertainer'' nominees for the 30th People's Choice Awards, honoring stars of film, music and television.
The new award category was created as part of the 30th-anniversary event. Nominations were announced Tuesday.
A nationwide poll conducted by the Gallup Organization determines the nominees and winners. No suggestions of entries or nominees are given.
Nominations for favorite film, dramatic actor and comedic actor in a movie will be announced later this month.
Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, stars of the sitcom ``Two and a Half Men,'' will host the live CBS telecast from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, scheduled for Jan. 11.
The nominees:
Favorite all-time entertainer: Bill Cosby, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks.
Favorite movie actor: Johnny Depp, Mel Gibson, Denzel Washington.
Favorite movie actress: Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts.
New television drama: ``Cold Case,'' ``Joan of Arcadia,'' ``The O.C.''
New television comedy: ``Hope & Faith,'' ``Two and a Half Men,'' ``Whoopi.''
Television drama: ``CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,'' ``ER,'' ``Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.''
Television comedy: ``Everybody Loves Raymond,'' ``Friends,'' ``Will & Grace.''
Male television performer: Kelsey Grammer, Ray Romano, Martin Sheen.
Female television performer: Jennifer Aniston, Debra Messing, Oprah Winfrey.
Reality-based television show: ``Fear Factor,'' ``Survivor: Pearl Islands,'' ``The Bachelor.''
Talk-show host: Jay Leno, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey.
Male musical performer: Eminem, 50 Cent, Tim McGraw.
Female musical performer: Faith Hill, Beyonce Knowles, Shania Twain.
