(Stillwater-AP) -- Stillwater Police shot and killed a man who allegedly pointed a rifle at an officer's head.

Gilbert Leon Payne was shot twice by Officer John Latzke during the execution of a search warrant south of Langston.

Police say the 50-year-old put a gun to another officer's head when they entered his residence.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into Friday's shooting.

The district attorney's office says the shooting looks justified.

Investigators found more than one-and-a-half pounds of marijuana in Payne's residence after the shooting.
