(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A man accused of abducting and sexually abusing a Stillwater girl paid her family's household bills and promised to move them to Branson, Missouri.

The girl's mother Tracye Weldon testified that Presley Earl Hood told her would purchase a house for the family and help Weldon find a job.

Hood, a Branson resident, is charged in federal court with kidnapping and five counts of crossing state lines to have sex with a child younger than 12.

Weldon says she allowed her 10-year-old daughter to go with Hood because he had promised to get her into show business.

Hood allegedly abducted the girl May 9th and fled to Missouri and Texas.

Authorities found the girl and Hood May 15th in Pearland, Texas. Medical tests showed the girl had been sexually molested.

Weldon says she stopped the trips after her daughter told her she was playing computer games and walking around Branson.
