Oklahoma City's Omniplex is now affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.

And that could be huge for Oklahomans, because the new status gives the museum the option to borrow Smithsonian items.

The Washington museum has more than 250-million artifacts, specimens and archival materials.

The Omniplex has more than ten acres of exhibits and other attractions, including hands-on science displays, space artifacts and botanical gardens.
